In the West Indies tour of England ending today (September 29, 2017), the West Indies
- lost the test series 1-2
- won the only T20 international
- lost the 5 match ODI 0-4, with one match rained out. England basically scored at 7 – 8 runs per game in almost every match, something unheard of. Even when the West Indies scored 359-5 in the 4th ODI, they still lost under the D/L method after giving up many runs to Moeen Ali late before rain ended play.
The negatives (weaknesses) for the West Indies were where England was strong.
- Batting was inconsistent
- Bowling was TERRIBLE
But there was Hope (Shai Hope particularly, not his brother).
The positives are
- Shai Hope, in particular, looked good in parts of the Test matches. Chase showed some grit also.
- About 4 players, including Gayle and Samuels, were brought in to play the T20 and all 5 ODIs and, at times, West Indies looked like they could make it a series.
