West Indies women wins World T20

The Stefanie Taylor-led West Indies women defeated Australian women by 8 wickets with 3 balls to spare to lift the World T20 championship from the 3-time Australian team.

Batting first, Australia made 148-5 and was looking really good.  However, the two openers, 18 year old Hayley Matthew (66) and captain Stefanie Taylor (59) led the attack, setting up #3 Dottin and #4 Cooper to take the West Indies to victory 149-2.

Congratulations to the West Indian Women on a great feat.  Now it’s up to the men who play England in the Men’s finals.
