St.G.C. spoils J.C. aim at schoolboy football history

“North Street Giant”, St. George’s College (St.G.C.), spoiled Jamaica College’s (J.C.) aim at senior schoolboy football history by defeating Jamaica College in the Walker Cup knockout finals today, 3-2.

J.C., having won the Manning Cup and inaugural Super Cup, only needed the Walker Cup and Olivier Shield to be the first school in Jamaica to win 4 senior football trophies/championships.  However, at the half, it was St.G.C. 3-0.  J.C. then pulled back one to make it 3-1 early in the 2nd half, but was unable to keep up with the light blues from North Street.

Congratulations to St George’s College for winning the Walker Cup 2014 and to Jamaica College for making the finals of all 4 championships.
