    It was August 6, 1962 when Jamaica gained independence from Britain.  This year is a huge year for Jamaica and Jamaicans everywhere.  In fact, this August 6, 2012 Jamaica celebrates.  Upgrades and decorations have been made to the Norman Manley International airport (KIN).
