Thank you for being a part Yowlink, your free “One Caribbean” network.   As part of your reward, we continue to add functionality and make modifications to improve the general usability and aesthetics of the site.  After all, we are trying to promote more interaction and discussion among our users/members.  So…

So the past month, we have added an Events functionality.  Today we have put back the Achievements functionality but this version is nothing like the old one of 3 months ago.   This one is greatly overhauled and the usability improved.   Read more

Barbados ties Leewards in Regional One Day Final

Cricket ball

The West Indies Cricket Board Cup ODI Final ended in a tie between Barbados and Leeward Islands in Kingston, Jamaica.

Batting first, the Leewards was dismissed for 139 from 32 overs & 5 balls, with Tino Best and Ryan Hinds capturing 4 and 3 wickets respectively.

A seemingly easy win for Barbados demonstrated it wouldn’t be when they started losing wickets at regular interval after starting at 46 runs for the loss of 2 wickets….  Barbados was dismissed for 139, with man of the match Lionel Baker and Gavin Tonge taking 5 and 2 wickets respectively.

In the Semi-Finals last week, Barbados had eased past Jamaica while Leewards had a tougher time with their Windward Island neighbors.

Congratulations to both Barbados and the Leeward Islands.

Be sincere.  They can choose to ignore you or respond.  Perhaps you may see a comment from someone who shares similar ideas and you want to “big them up” in a private message.  I’m sure they won’t mind that and we are OK with that.

Yowlink is a Social Network for…

Yowlink is a social network for people with any tie whatsoever to the English-speaking Caribbean and Haiti.

When you visit, invite your friends and relatives so that you will not feel too “alone”. That way, you have people who “got your back” in addition to us (Yowlink administrators).

Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

In addition to reading our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy on our help page ( Yowlink Help ), I encourage you to read the article ” Yawdies, use common sense on the Internet ” which was written by one of our admins, @csharpe.

What can you do instead of wasting people’s time…

Play some games (Yowlink Games), invite your friends to join you on Yowlink, create a relevant Group, join an existing group and join in the discussions, etc.  That’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Thank you very much.
