@franksmith, you picked 8 of the 11 we picked. I cannot argue with most of them, with the exception of maybe Bishop. Any reason you would pick him over, say, "Big Bird" Garner or Walsh or Roberts or Holding (I know you picked him as the exception but not one of the 3 fast bowlers)?

I don’t follow much cricket and didn’t play much cricket as a child, but my father talk about certain players constantly being great. That said, my picks are:

– Greenidge, Haynes
– Lara, Chanderpaul, Richards
– Sobers
– Dujon
– Marshall, Ambrose, Bishop
– [Exception] Holding (4th pace bowler, no spinner]
My understanding is that Sobers was a good spinner but West Indies was at their best when they used 4 pace bowlers.
